Disconnect everything until you find the source. My 2.1 system was amplifying the PC GPU coil whine through the speakers and the reason was that the WiiU was also connected through red and white jacks to the sound system input combined with HDMI to the monitor. As soon as I disconnected one of the cables from the console, the coil whine amplification ended. Analogue audio is a fucking bitch with this stuff.
