What monitors does /g/ use?

Pic related: it's mine, LG 24MP68VQ. I used to have a Benq GW2470H but I switched it in favor of IPS.

your graphic card can handle 4k? shit, nice.

anything more than FHD is too expensive for me at the moment. my budget is like $200
>>
>>59894511
Yeah I have a STRIX 1080
>>
>>59894525
that's nice then. i hope more people post their monitors in this thread.
>>
>>59894541
As do I, will lurk
>>
I have a Benq gr2833j69420blz

Was thinking about getting the LG 54NK99ZS but decided not to. Although a Samsung w67d981 is the same as mine.
>>
>>59893247
IF you have an AMD card you could achieve 75hz with Freesync
>>
Anyone besides dell make monitors that don't have flimsy terrible stands?
>>
>>59894973
Samsung here, no, mine is terrible

I own the XB271HU and a VG278HE. Both are fantastic, XB271HU has great colours when calibrated and the IPS display really sets it off.

Bought an Iiyama today. Great stand. Just don't buy the cheapest model.

It's the IIYAMA PROLITE XUB2792QSU-B1.
Does what it should do. USB connections are a nice extra. Even the speakers are a nice bonus even though I will probably never use them.

Need to buy a mini displayport to displayport cable tomorrow so I can have 10 bit colors and 70hz freesync. Seems like a great monitor so far desu. Would recommend.
>>
>>59894973
just get a vesa mount stand then.
>>
>>59894999
LG here, also terrible

Dell U2715H

>27 inches
>1440p

This is a relatively new purchase but I'm very pleased with it. It's my first real monitor. All my others were cheap 1080p TN panels. 1440p is a great resolution for productivity and my GTX 1060 can handle all games if I turn down a few of the more harsh settings. IPS is very nice as well. I'm not sure I could go back to TN unless it was a particularly high quality panel. I almost went with a cheaper BenQ with similar specs but it would have been a more bare bones type monitor.

My only complaint is that I wish I could have 4K just for movies/TV. I figure I'll use this monitor for some years and then upgrade to 4K when high quality IPS panels come down to about $300-$400. By then a 4K capable graphics card should be much more affordable. Also maybe by then the 4K BluRay DRM will be cracked.
>>
>>59897104
>TN
jesus why would you ever by TN monitors, did you fall for the gaming meme or something?

even VA monitors are better. actually i think VA is better than IPS in some ways

dell s2316m on the right
both 1080 ips panels. spent $250 on both combined, and they work well for my purposes.

I have a Dell S2716DG. It's awesome, I'll only upgrade once 4k 144hz monitors are affordable and can be powered by a GTX *70 GPU.

XL2411Z because I play a lot of FPS.

Desperately waiting for monitor tech that is comparable in responsiveness/refresh while actually having proper color&contrast. Both color & contrast are pretty fucking bad on this, but it is at least smooth during muh games.
>>
>>59897143
shit that seems like a real comfy room.

>>59897231
VA monitors have good color and fantastic contrast. consider that next time, get a BenQ

Guy I know uses a 4k monitor with a GTX950. This was his first gaming PC in like 12 years or something.

I tried it for about 5 minutes and what a fucking slideshow. He insists that the framerate is fine.

4k monitors are such a meme

i am pissed off about seeing the pixels on my FHD monitor, but QHD and 4k monitors are way too expensive. fuck. i guess my phone is enough for a high density display

I'm trying to decide between getting dual U2415's (24 inch 1080p), or one U2715H (27 inch 1440p), then getting another one down the line when I can afford it (long time).

I'm upgrading from an old 24 inch 1080p TN panel.

Get an application in person, those places have such high turnover rates. If you want some experience apply for all the HS dropout jobs you can think of. Walmart, Burger King, gas stations, etc.

Dell 3007WFP-HC. It was $200 on eBay when I bought it maybe 3 years ago. Used and has some major scratches on the screen, but they're not really noticeable when it's turned on.

It was alright for a while but you get sick of it fast. The only real fun part was being an irreplaceable employee and getting to tell customers off when they tell you off. If you're there for more than a year or two you're doing it wrong. Not like you're going to have much luck finding an enjoyable entry level job.

I have an LG 29um68, my pc isn't powerful enough to comfortably do 1440p and I wanted to see how I liked ultrawide. I'm totally in love with 21:9 now and will definitely be getting a 3440x1440 ultrawide when I have a powerful enough pc instead of 4k

the curved 144hz VA monitors are decent. Still not perfect, but at least actual viability at 144hz and no 50ms black transition smear anymore. They're all curved though.

The big scoop would be the MSI G27C at just 300$ with the 27" panel, but it seems to have a whole slew of build and firmware problems for now.
>>
>>59898406
get 24" then, duh
