I have a somewhat related question which applies to explorer in general.

Why does it not constantly remember view options and icon size as you navigate through drives and folders? No matter how you set folder options it seems completely random.

Had this problem for years with vista now having it with 10.

I think that main reason is the garbage piece of shit photo viewer. The one in windows 7 doesn't have this problem.
