need some way to connect PC with phone or SIM card so i can make calls through it

I don't wanna be holding that phone all day, and I'd like my hands free to type, take notes. Would also be nice to just click-to-call phone numbers from the database, etc.
Are there laptops that come with SIM card readers? Or maybe just peripherals (USB SIM readers?). I something like that should be easily available since there's shitloads of callcenters but I couldn't find anything via google. Maybe I'm using retarded search terms, idk
thanks in advance
I can do exactly that with my macbook and iphone

VOIP with calling out enabled.
You can call any phone anywhere via your internet connection for about the same price as a landline.

My Dell Inspiron from 2010 had SIM support.
