I'm interested in buying a GSM phone with as many supported bands as possible to use primarily in the US and occasional use in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. I would probably be using AT&T or Cricket in the US. To my knowledge the newer US AT&T Samsung Galaxies and iPhones seem to do this the best as far as I know, but I'm looking to see if I could save money but am open to havng a phone that won't choke simply using google maps. I primarily use the phone almost exclusively for mobile hotspot, internet browsing, and navigation - I'm totally open to chinkshit or whatever.

It's fucking falling apart on me, random reboots coupled with SD card corruption anmd sometimes an outright refusal to charge. Just managed to reach 8 hours of screen on time with the zuk z2, not a bad phone at all especially once you put on a custom ROM, it's very nice to be back on Android after the horrible period in iOS. Pic related. Currently running Resurrection Remix by Fedor917 with the Darkmoon Kernel. Anyone looking for a good cheap phone don't neglect this one, worth the money, gonna try and buy a xiaomi device when possible and repost results.

Good thing is that the battery is super easy to replace (which you'll want to do if you're using a phone from 2014). I'm not sure about the camera quality, my mom has an S5 and ends up taking pictures with her tablet because it has a better camera.

So my S5 is starting to fuck up for no reason, and I find myself without a phone. Need something that lasts me at least two years.

Moto G is the way to go for budget phones. You could do Samsung, but with how bloated their OS is and how shitty their hardware is in budget phones, there's literally no reason to get a Samsung over a Moto G.

They've had double data promos before, so province wide talk, global text and 12GB (or 4GB per month) for $120 (or $40 per month). They had that for a couple months last year, I don't know if it's popped up since though. Might not show up again, who knows.

I would personally go for the Plus-- I'm not a very heavy user, so I don't need a removable battery. If you absolutely need a removable battery, go for the G5, if you can do without, go for the G5 plus.

Strange. I'm lucky enough to have a parent whose job has a corporate deal with Rogers, so we get a Share Everything plan with a fair discount. I'm about to transfer on, but I can't decide between LG G6 or Pixel. I posted further up, I don't know if I should bother paying an extra $150 for a Pixel over the G6.

I think I came across wrong. Lemme change my opinion a bit. If you need the power upgrade in the Plus, that might be worth choosing over the regular G5. If you can do without the upgrades of the G5 Plus, then you can just get the G5 and also not worry about the battery replacement whenever you want to do that. It's all subjective-- do you want less powerful with an easily replaceable battery or more powerful without a replaceable battery?

I don't go outside the Zones that much which was the appeal to the plan. Speeds are alright for what I do.

Phone options are the ones listed before: A5 2017 or Nova Plus. I tried a few of the G series but Canada doesn't get the best Gs and the ones we get here didn't really grab me.

I'm using an S5 right now and usability is still fine for my usage, I am running a custom ROM so you might not get the same result.
Battery life is a bit below average but I'm using the battery it first came with. If I bought a new battery it'd be a fair amount better.
The camera is still good, probably average by today's standards but it's in no way bad at all

The Nokia is expensive because people are reselling the Chinese version on eBay. Won't get LTE in the US. Once it comes here officially it will drop in price. If you need a phone now get the Moto.

They have access to both networks but not at the same time. You have to choose which one to use. You can switch from one to the other pretty easily though, you just need a new sim card.
