Gentoo.

You don't "fix" Windows, dumbass. Windows works correctly OUT. OF. THE. BOX. unlike Linux where you have to be a NEET and waste 6 months of your life to get it working.

There's probably some registry hack or group policy to get rid of it, if not, check OOSU 10 and see if it has an option.

It doesn't. And ooshutup10 has an updated Creators Edition version now. It's basically nothing but it gets to my nerves having an exclamation mark down there.

Yeah, don't fuck it up to begin with.

What does it matter if Smartscreen is on if you never use Edge? Just turn it on and forget about it.
Got it. It was the Task Manager -> Start Up Windows Defender icon. It was re-enabled on its own after this system-wide update of "Creators Update", and it's also kinda counter-intuitive since this is not called the Windows Defender icon anymore but a general "Actions Recommended".
Or at least I think that's what did it. I don't think I changed anything else relevant before it disappeared.

You can disable most of Windows 10 botnet features with Powershell. Look it up on Google.

Antibeacon and ooshutup10 can remove almost all botnet features. Or at least, they make it as "botnet" as a vanilla windows 7 or so since you can never be sure.
The the OP pic problem isn't even botnet, unless you run Edge (nobody does), it's mainly a visual annoyance.

Not, it doesn't. Cortana, OneDrive and the App Store are not affected by those programs and will still run in the background.

>he thinks he is in control of his os
you cant really complain about or chance radically stuff you rent. stop renting windows if it bothers you this much.
