In this thread we shall share websites (preferably those that are still around, but archives of dead ones are cool too) that represent real web design. Web pages that load in a couple of seconds or less. Websites that don't need a browser with html5 support. Websites that don't utilize tons of unnecessary javascript. Websites that aren't plugin'd out the asshole. We shall share gold standard websites, that all web devs should be looking up to as examples of perfection. I will start.

- http://toastytech.com/ (but the real meat is here: http://toastytech.com/guis/index.html)

- http://www.schooner.com/~loverso/ (this dude's a legit master)

- http://web.archive.org/web/20120527154432/http://www.nimh.org/ (probably the best ever)

- http://aramazd.firstcloudit.com/GSO/ (one of the best)

- http://www.briankimmel.com/Templates/GSW/ (another goodun)

- http://www.mattoates.co.uk/index.php (decent example of modern without being overwhelming)
