Hey /g/, I was looking for your input on which Bachelors degree I should go for.

The university closest to me offers both a Bachelors of Computer Science and a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science.

The next closest college offers a Bachelors of Applied Science in both Information Systems and Technology, and one in Cyber Security.

The degree that I'm working for right now is an AAS in Network Design and Administration, and because it's an AAS I don't think it would necessarily transfer very easily into the University. If I decided to do the BAS program, I'd automatically be in Junior standing.

Anyways which do you think employers would care more about the BS, or the BAS? The type of field that I'm most interested in as far as IT goes is Networking. As far as certs go right now, I have my A+ and CCENT. Working on my CCNA R&S currently.

I've also looked at WGU as well, just trying to get some input.

an AAS is for immediate transfer into the market, some credits might count but it is doubtful all will. Also, what >>59861676

Yeah. Confused me too.

Sounds like IT trade school vs actual CS

they do this fuckerey in engineering too. my uni has engineering tech for electrical/civil/mechsnical and then they have engineering. the engineering one is for real engineering while the engineering tech is to be a technician. alot of kids have cried upon graduation thinking they were becoming an engineer but instead took the tech degree.
