is mini-itx really worth anything?
cramming some high end shit into a console-sized (if not smaller) box seems retarded, and anything week kinda seems shit for the price you'd be paying

Most of the money comes from autistic sperglords that are obsessed with "the smallest the better" (perhaps they are pedos too).
There are some legit uses in theory, e.g. a home video system with extreme size limits, or maybe a car (?).
But in reality all those uses are so niche, that it's obvious it's the sperglords that finance them.

for the average user, not really, unless you really need the space and the need for the space is more important then expand ability and ideal cooling. That's not even where it ends, parts that would be used in super crammed itx case like the FD node 202 have a pretty fucking large price premium, so it's like paying for the privilege to shoot yourself in the foot.

Pedo here, can confirm. Rocking a sweet gaming PC in a Dan Case A4 waiting for the next smallest case to come out.

Cooling high TDP CPUs in a tiny ITX case is a pain in the ass. I bet most people who do it go back to micro ATX for their next build.

I do LAN parties and would love to ferry my PC by motorcycle during the summer. The cases that lay the board flat so that the GPU and CPU Heatsink aren't putting lateral tension on the motherboard are GOAT for moving a PC around.
