Hey /g/. I want to play games on a pc, but my laptop broke. I have $750 to spend, accounting for gift cards and spare cash. How good/bad of a gaming computer will I get with that kind of cash?

hit up your local craigslist, some local neckbeard entrepreneur is selling a decent >rig for 750
1060 6gb/480 8gb + i5 7600 non k/r5 1600 + 8gb ddr4 + 1tb HDD. Pretty much what I have played all games at 1080p ultra settings.
Read the sticky.

RX 470 4gb + R5 1400 + cheapest B350 + 650w bronze Power supply + 8GB 3200 C16 ram (get cheapest one) + cheap atx case + cheap pcie wifi card (or use Ethernet)+don't forget to get a copy of windows 7,8.1, or 10 (gray or not).
That should be under budget. Consider R5 1600 for longevity. Or G4560 to reduce price (will need different mobo).

Spend $500 instead.

Consider the case a variable, change it to whatever the fuck you like. This includes windows 10 and a monitor, this will play everything at 1080 around medium/high in 60fps, sparing some of the most modern and most intensive titles such as Escape from Tarkov
This is a pretty middle of the road PC, its not that fancy, its not shit. You can optionally bump up to an i5 and rx 480 if you already have a monitor

and that is a much more powerful system
