You might be confusing two different concepts. It's feasible (though I don't think anyone has done it yet) to train a neural network to recognize possible CP. It's easy (and is being done right now) to check the hash of a file against a database of known CP file hashes. I'm paying £0.79 a month for 50GB of iCloud storage. I use it basically to store my iPhone backups. For that its very useful, nightly backups because I don't want to bloat my SSD with backups of 2 iPhones. Its automatic in the sense that, well, its automatic. You can set certain times or just have it so that it backs up close to every day when connected to wifi and power.
