8.1 is the pinnacle of design and I don't give 2 shits about anyone who says otherwise. It's clean, has very clear, clean and non-distracting elements, proper use of transparency, and the window borders are actually pleasant. Shame about the window titles and the fuckery with font colors, but that's pretty much the only thing. I can never rearrange multiple windows properly (by stacking them for instance) on Windows 10, but on 8.1 it looks all neat.
