What's a sensible, comfortable, backlit keyboard?
There isn't one, backlighting is literally pointless.
Define "sensible".
Do you want a better typing experience? Do you want a cheap price?
What?

Maximum $100 mark, comfortable, good typing experience, and good design. I'm assaulted by gaming parts everytime I try to shop for something so I made this thread in a desperate attempt to cut through the slack.
But at the same time, I'd go for something like the Razer Chroma if people say it's a good keyboard. I just need to know how to get my wrists comfy (coming from a laptop).
Any ducky shine model. Razer is shit for the money. They use cheap switches and keep prices as high as they were when they used cherry switches. Also go to /mkg/

Take a look at this. Slightly more expensive than you wanted by $5 but it's nice. I like the non-flashy design. I have the TKL version.

I'l head there now but I wasn't planning on restricting myself to a mechanical keyboard in the first place so I wasn't sure f it was appropriate.

This is pretty good and I'll throw it on the list. Thank you.

I like the thermaltake poseidon. The first edition has cherry blues the second has knockoffs that are "close enough". Sounds slightly different. I have both since I liked the first one.

Your screen provides light? I don't even look at my keyboard when typing it becomes muscle memory as to where stuff is desu.

Use a desklamp, retard.

I own a Logitech G110 keyboard. I'm not sure you can get them anymore. It is a great backlit keyboard that has served me well for eight years or so.
There are so many variables to consider when choosing a keyboard. You should take a look at Logitech's gaming keyboards. Then take a look at their standard keyboards. Their gaming boards all look like they are backlit. They have three or four backlit standard boards.
