Hey /g/
Considering selling my gaming PC. I moved into a small studio and my battlestation is taking up a lot of space. I don't think I've played any PC game (except some MMO's) for more than 10 hours the past 2 years. Anyone done this before? How is life with just a (for now) shitty laptop?
laptop sucks without a desk and mouse when doing actual projects
and by then you might as well use a desktop.
if you're just browing web and music then who cares

Mostly doing just web, I don't really do big projects and when I work from home, it's just minor typing work.

Keep your high potential processing power, bro

Msi i7 gtx970m gaming laptop fag here
>im in game design so i need the graphics card
I wouldnt reccomend buying a laptop to anyone unless its greatly needed as the sacrifice of power must outweigh the the use of its mobility.
Laptops are alright but theyre easier to damage, cant play games on full settings unless the power cable is plugged in, and the battery life is embarrassing on most laptops. It doesnt sound like much of a fuss but it builds up to becoming a hinderence.
If you travel alot, forget it, get a decent phone as public seating on planes or busses etc are tight and near impossible to work on.
Go mini itx

I'd mostly be browsing/streaming YouTube and other streams to my Chromecast. Maybe some casual games every now and then, but my current laptop has an integrated card (lel).
Apart from WoW (which I haven't really enjoyed) anyway I don't think I've booted up a single game this year.
SFF is an option, I'm mostly wanting to get rid of my desk though.

In that case, sell your battlestation.
Worst case scenario, you build yourself a new mini itx if your laptop turns out not to be enough

Thanks for the advice. I'll be keeping my screens for now, just in case.

get an xps 15 and dock
use 4k montir+keyboard of your choice+mouse when youre at home and use the laptop when mobile

Don't get rid of your desk tho. Desks are GOAT. Can't live without one.

I know, but it's taking up a large part of my living room and I have nowhere else to put it
