Only in ways I've yet to realize, possibly.

About a decade ago this place helped me build a PC which I only replaced because it grew outdated, despite still functioning perfectly well. /g/ getting me into Linux also helped me raise two weak netbooks into capable laptops, as well as salvaging cheap garbage computers for dirt poor college students to become independent from computer labs/libraries. As for phones, I even got a Moto /g/ and it's been awesome value for money.

Maybe the closest it's ever come has been outdated info in the wiki. That's about it.

IIRC 4chan now scrubs EXIF metadata by default.

BTW how do you even have sex if your dick is so thick? I'd imagine any penetration would require loads of tedious prep.

all distros are the same shit. if i were indian, i would say they are different shit from the same street.

just fucking use whatever the hell you want. because arch is dropping x86 support, i will have to switch to something else. because it is somewhat similar to arch i was considering void, but my hatred for spics is making me hesitate. will probably will start distro hopping for a while. maybe debian testing.

fuck it. fuck you.

Other thick dick here. Lots of foreplay and letting her control everything, at least from the start. Even then there's only a certain amount of time she can handle it before the pain exceeds the pleasure. Doesn't help that I can rarely climax that quickly.

One of my exes was convinced she must have vaginismus. Consulted with her gyno and everything. Nope, it was just too much to ask of her cooch to accommodate me. Sometimes she'd grin and bear it until all the muscles and tissues down there could conform around me but it was a lot to ask. All the other women have been eager but far less persevering.

>>
>>59821171

It makes most people feel stupid when they can't do it. SICP filters out those with weak minds, and they blame the book rather than themselves.

C does something very similar; giving people all the rope they want; and then doesn't stop them from forming a noose, and hanging themselves.

Yeah what kind of FAGGOT would work for GOOGLE and use a MACBOOK, haha what a cuck
>>
>>59821162
I like C# alot though, that's why I got mad when I tried VS and /g/ always said it was bad. I was expecting Android Studio levels of bad.

>>59821171
SICP is an older book and could be well explained nowadays with modern books and modern languages. And I hate Lisp.

There's nothing wrong with C, specially if you aim to work with microcontrollers and embedded programming.

But for general purpose programming, specially nowadays, you could do better with modern programming languages such as Java, C# and Python. Even C++ is a better alternative.

However, learning C helped me a lot to know more what happens behind all that levels of abstraction, but for a day-to-day programming, it's useless for me.

I installed Arch yesterday. It's retarded. I just copied the commands from some Youtube video. Where is the advantage of editing some file to choose your language? What is the point of editing some other file to add your user? What the fuck? It's stupid, stupid, stupid

I can understand wanting to set up your own partitions, but having an installer that does things like choose your language, keyboard layout, user name etc is not "bloat" it's just complete

Fuck arch.

Feel free to think I'm "stupid" for not thinking Arch is good. fwiw I installed it on my first try literally copying commands from a youtube video, just like all of you guys.

I'll stick with Ubuntu, a real distro for people who like nice things.

Hmm, got memed into trying Intel for a short while. The iGPU experience on GNU/Linux was as good as I was told. I did realise Intel isn't all it's cracked up to be though, my next CPU is going to be an AMD simply on principle.

They also got me to give Nvidia go, being a life long ATI/AMD user, once again: better GNU/Linux support but nothing special.

They made me try Arch, I'll agree, it's the best GNU/Linux has to offer but I'm too lazy to maintain it, Ubuntu is for me.

I fell for the thinkpad, linux, and libreboot meme. It's been a miserable experience so far while also losing 200 dollars.
>>
>>59829337
It's not just about the setup.
Arch breaks itself. Constantly. I don't want to fix broken piles of shit every month ad infinitum when I can just update every 6 months.
>>
>>59829117
Yeah we use LaTeX at work, it saves a shitton of time.
>>
>>59829389
Works on my machine.

pretty decent pairs desu. good thing you didn't fall for the DT990 meme, these are pure shit.
>>
>>59823349
LaTeX is the shit, it is far from a meme status, I regret not knowing about it earlier.
>>
>>59829117

I didn't mean it in a bad way. Yes it's absolutely god tier software.
>>
>>59827353
hipster? ive been using vim since when you were still playing pokemon gold with your kindergarten friends you little brat
>>
>>59823859
Math BS here. Theoretical concentration too, not applied. Had no problem landing a machine learning job before I even graduated at 85k USD. Now pays over 6 figures. You must be bad at translating your math skills to other disciplines...

CS isn't a meme, but it's also a saturated pool of people and the schools aren't even teaching relevant skills. (Schools in my survey trying to hire from college career fairs: Carnegie melon, Virginia tech, University of Maryland).

If you're this dumb, you should go back to Windows.
>>
>>59823664
If you fuck something up after the install, you won't be reaching around blindly for a fix. Arch simply familiarizes you with the file system and networking and things like that.Nobody claims it's some voodoo shit, it's just a rolling release distro with a decent package manager and repos.
>>
>>59822022
Ours is to despair, friend.

>Redhat, or Debian/Ubuntoo.
PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!
>>
>>59821120
except ganoo and arch and ricing they are all true
>>
I enjoyed my time on arch because every single linux distro is the exact same garbage when it comes to the core.
all I did was yum an entire configuration packet and then I pretended to be hackerman like all other linux users
>>
>>59823859
how the hell can you not find a job with a math degree?
Literally everyone hires mathematicians.
You can go into business, research, academia, banking, finance, insurance, stock trading, consulting, computer science...
>>
>>59820419
i fell for the vim meme like 4 years ago and now i can't use any program that doesn't have a vim extension

i can't even tell if it has helped my productivity
>>
>>59829785
> I used it before it went cool
Totally hipster.
>>
>>59830321
You're not alone. I even use HJKL instead of the WASD cluster when I play.
>>
>>59830557
I used to breathe before you were born, and as such for you to avoid being a hipster, you should stop breathing.
>>

I use Windows and am a conservative. Arch Linux sounds neat. Fuck you and slit your flabby fucking neck. I like the package manager, pacman. I just installed Arch Linux and am a learning number. Have delight and sip a nice cold glass of water with lemon.
>>
>>59821120
>K&R
This one really is a better reference than it is learning material
>C
Fantastic language if used when you should be using it
>SICP
It's pretty terse, but it's alright for people that haven't never programmed before but need to start actively learning.
>Gahnoo
I don't know how you interpreted GNU cultism as anything more than a joke. We're pretty blatant.
>Visual Studio
Great if you're targeting Windows and don't give a shit about efficiency. Not so great for anything else.
>Java
C# shits on it. It really is shit.
>Arch
>Ricing
You fucked up falling for these. /g/ is retarded for pushing this bullshit, but it's a pretty natural extension of the consumerism here, so I'm not too surprised.

Wow, I can't believe you've managed to trick yourself into thinking you aren't some little beta dweeb.
>state loan
>I live in a dump and don't have a car, but at least I make 86k a year (doubtful) tapping buttons on my keyboard
>I've had a girlfriend for 10 months (Holy shit, having a gf for a full ten months in your mid-20s while living in a major city and supposedly making tons of money? Look at king pussy slayer over here, only the best of the best are able to get girlfriends at that age with that kind of money)
>projecting about being cucked
>implying any woman would feel protected by some limp-wristed programmer faggot
Lmao just settle down kid.
