I installed Xubuntu yesterday and found out that:

-It overheats my PC far more than Windows 10(and that's considering that it is a lightweight distro)
-Boot time is slower
-Wi-Fi constantly disconnects after a couple of hours, whereas Windows 10 does not
-GPU performance is noticable inferior
-A large chunk of drivers do not work at all

Didn't even last a day on this shit. Linux is a hobbyist OS.

My installation is more than 3 years old with hundreds of installed stuff.

I've been suffering of this issue since the days of windows XP, when i was on athlon XP. A few weeks after a fresh installation, windows would start messing with hard drive on boot-up time. No matter what version of windows, no matter what startup programs were allowed to run (of course with automatic update disabled). I never found out the solution.
