How do you cope with the fact that Android Nougcat doesn't support Xposed libraries?
I'd really want to switch to Lineage OS, but right now I'm using a lot of stuff with Xposed.
Currently I am using:
> Amplify
> Greenify
> Youtube AdAway
> Youtube Background Player
> Xposed Torch
> Boot Manager
But I only actually care for the Youtube stuff... so, what are the alternatives?

Firefox supports backgroung youtube playing

I use this for background youtubing...
https://www.amazon.co.uk/ASBIT-CO-LTD-PVSTAR-YouTube/dp/B00EKA6MWG
Was legit on the playstore for a long time until Youtube introduced their paid-for service that let you listen to shit in the background.
Just set it to music mode in the app settings, otherwise the video will re-load itself when you unlock your phone and open the app up.

> Amplify
> Greenify
Useless memes
> Youtube AdAway
> Youtube Background Player
NewPipe or Firefox
> Xposed Torch
There's probably some app to remap hardware keys
> Boot Manager
You can use App Ops from Play Store to deny apps from running at boot or in the background
I'd like to move to Android N, but I need the security that the xposed framework helps provide. These modules are essential to me :
-xprivacy
-AFWall+ with Download Manager leak xposed framework option
I'll waitâ„¢ until xposed is hopefully ported.

Amplify is pointless, Greenify works perfectly fine without Xposed you just don't get autismo level functionality, pay for Youtube Red, Xposed Torch is just a slight convenience so that's skippable, why the fuck do you need a boot manager? Do you only use unstable ROMs?

>Amplify is pointless,
Why?
>>59814464
> Amplify
do you really need this? is your battery dying too fast? replace it then.
> Greenify
works without xposed.
> Youtube AdAway
> Youtube Background Player
replacable by iytbp.
> Xposed Torch
> Boot Manager
no idea what those are. search for alternatives.

Isn't there a magisk module for YouTube? Alternatively do what I do and keep an old ass kit Kat phone around with all the Xposed goodies on it and tether when wanted. It's an LG L70 so it's nice and small.

This. Please explain?

>is your battery dying too fast? replace it then.
>why do you care about battery life
Not an argument
there is an alternative for youtube background.
1) Uninstall Youtube
2) download this apk: http://drive.google.com/open?id=0Byv9UzztaWhBbndLZnZtRld4Qkk
3) create a new folder in system/app called YouTube, and put the apk there.
4) Use a file explorer with root access to change folder permissions to 755 (rwxr-xr-x) and apk permissions to 644 (rw-r--r--)
5) reboot, search for youtube in play store, click the 3 dots and uncheck 'update automatically'. do not update youtube or it will stop working. you're welcome.

>doesn't know what Boot Manager is
>amplify is pointless
