Tabs is the most universally accepted standard, you can just adjust your spacing by configuring your editor, while with spaces you are stuck with whatever the guy before you set.

Tabs are theoretically better than spaces for indenting. Since everyone can set up how much spaces a tab should be in their editor themselves. But a lot of idiots use tabs for aligning code, too. Mixing it with spaces. And then it looks like shit on every other setting. I see that all the time.
So I do prefer spaces.

Any real arguments?

I would like to argue that it literally does not matter as tools exist to automatically format any language that matters
