Apparently install Windows 10.
Is spyware still a problem with 10?

Windows 10 is spyware

you can't completely turn telemetry off, but the lowest settings will only send ms hardware info and some other non-invasive stuff, this is just what ms says though so can't be sure
>>59804564
Windows 10.
>>59804355
It's pretty good for games.
Better than 7, even though some dolts might say otherwise.
Spyware is present in both 7 and 10.
If you don't want MS to sell your shit, use a better OS as a host and Windows in a VM.

>use a better OS as a host and Windows in a VM.

/g/ nowadays is just /v/'s tech support
>>59804629
You're probably right, but I'll say it the nonetheless.
If we say it and no one listens becuase they're all idiots, so be it.
If we become so jaded that we never say it, the time there is someone to hear, no one will speak.

There isn't a better OS than Windows in terms of desktop environment.

It's spyware. Downgrade to windows 7.

Ok honestly, does anyone really care about tabs in a file explorer?
I really don't. I'd much rather have two windows of Explorer open, one on my left monitor, and one on my primary. Then, I can quickly drag and drop files to their new locations without having to CTRL C and CTRL V onto the new location. Tabs are inconvenient for a file explorer. If it gets implemented, though, yay. But I won't use it.

I feel similarly, even on *nix I prefer multiple windows to multiple tabs for file manipulation. No accounting for taste, I guess.

A shitty UWP "app" version. It's all in Micro$oft's future plans for Windows 10.

Citation needed. I've always wanted to see if that's actually true.

Welcome to the new Microsoft™
>>59805997
Microsoft back ported the telemetry shit to Windows 7. On top of that they made Windows 7 updates cumulative so you have to install everything to get security updates.
>>59806112
I wasn't asking about that.

Windows 10 actually made me give up on video games. I'm completely done with Microsoft and their bullshit.
>>59804751
Too bad that few rearrangements in control panel and one process per service are basically the only changes. No idea what it has to do with creativity.
>>59806001
Replacing a 20+ year old runtime with one that doesn't take the OS with it when they crash is hardly cancer
>>59807604
>windows explorer is the entire OS
Yeah nah, Windows is completely usable without explorer.exe open . It just handles the taskbar and desktop environment.
