Urbit is made by OpenBSD devs, yet /g/ hates it. I don't get it.

It's a fucking meme. What can you do in it. It has a built-in chat function and I think that's all people use it for. What was it even designed for? Sharing files across multiple computers using cryptocurrency or something? I don't even remember
>>59803920
What's there not to get? /g/ loves shitting on OpenBSD
>>59803920
That's because OpenBSD devs haven't made anything worth using yet. They're just building on top of a heavily outdated kernel and stealing GNU and open source programs from Linux.

>OpenBSD devs haven't made anything worth using yet
You mean like sudo and OpenSSH?
Openbsd is a joke now because some edgelord from hn made some blog posts btfo'ing Theo and the openbsd autism

BSD is just linux with worse libraries. linux.h actually has sane stuff defined in it, while you'll find that things like chroot() on bsd never do what you expect them to do, are much more locked down (read: you can't do things you would expect to be able to do), and it's just overall incompatible. Not to mention that there are so few drivers that it's basically uninstallable on a modern laptop.

>x is a joke because some random guy on the Internet said something bad about it
In that case literally everything is a joke

>while you'll find that things like chroot() on bsd never do what you expect them to do
so read the fucking manpage? what are you, retarded?
>lol let me use system calls without knowing what they do xD
