I tried 7zip but for some reason even when I archive the same file twice with identical parameters, the output archives have different checksums and I need to prevent this.

Why in this site it says a 20ms monitor is excellent? Also those ms values aren't the same as the manufacturers. For example, I saw one model specs and in the manufacturer's site it was saying it had 2ms. In this site it says the same model have 10ms.

they dont want their own wifi to hacked
lmaoing@you're brainlet
>>
>>59802804
No, what bothers me about wifi hacking in the first place is, why don't programs crack each alphanumeric digit/letter in order instead of trying to crack the whole thing at one time?

For instance let's say I have an 8 digit pin
Why doesn't it LOCK IN the correct digit in sequential order

Lets say the number 8 belongs in the 4th slot of the overall pin
XXX8XXXX

Instead of locking this number in as the definitive 4th slot, it continues to randomly try number combinations to attain the entire pin.

XXX9XXXX
XXX0XXXX

Etcetera

Why hasn't anyone tried sequential digit by digit hacking? Wouldn't it be alot faster than guessing 99999999 combinations and hoping to god you get the right one before the end of your life?

I tried with the official Tar-1.13 for Windows (GnuWin32) but the output archive contains my Windows username in the footer, pic related.

I used these parameters as they were recommended in a stackoverflow thread:
tar.exe cvf compressed.tar.gz tocompress

Did I use the wrong parameters? I've read --help but I couldn't find anything relevant to this problem.
I'm making this for something that needs to run on other windows PCs later so involving variable informations about the OS in the archive is really something I want to avoid, the variable checksums issue also remains because of this.

Anyways, yes its normal with a desktop heatsink.
If I run a stress test on my cpu, after several minutes it will reach mid 60s. It will literally drop by 20 degrees within 5 seconds upon ending the stress test.
Think about how large the heatsink is (even if its stock) compared to how small the cpu is.

You can do that if you know one or the characters in a password. There's no way to do it if you don't know since it's not unlocked unless you get every character right. It's not like a safe where you can hear each combination tumbler unlock.

It's as easy to crack as the person who set it up is knowledgeable about cracking.

MITM, handshake brute forces, hybrid attacks are really the only thing you can do. If you have a strong password, don't fall for social engineering and don't use WEP then you're good.

How is malware actually spread apart from e-mail attachments?
>>
>>59804610
Pirated software and shady downloads mostly. Plus some fucked up webpages and the odd infected PDF
>>
>>59804610
Usually:
Shady installers(Remember to dont click those adware boxes).
Retards who download fake stuff from internet when looking for something that shouldn't be free (Cracks, pirated movies, games, prepatched programs, etc).
Exploits.
Javascript.
Ads.
Last 3 are popular this days, a computer can get infected really easy trough a fake/malware campaing ad.

Then after the computer is infected it spreads trough USB because the common user doesnt know that if their memory turned into direct access files its infected.
This is mostly windows fault tho, 10 years and the USB Driver hijack is still not fixed.

Hey /g/ having some computer problems, hoping you can help.

I've tried googling the issue, and nothing has helped yet.

What's going on is my computer boots, shows the bios screen, then the monitor goes no signal. Sometimes it gets to the log in screen, but still goes no signal.

The GPU is a 1070, I've tried it in other computers, and it works fine, and I've tried other (760) in this computer, and it works fine.

So it doesn't appear to be the GPU, I've tried swapping the RAM, reseating all the connections, replaced the CMOS battery. And using a different PSU, with the other PSU it didn't ever get a signal however.

When I had the other GPU in I booted to windows, and uninstalled the Display drivers, and NVIDIA software, but still the same shit.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Don't expect to be able to clean up the audio much in audacity, or anything else really. There's no replacement for a clean recording. Don't expect to get a decent recording for under $100.
Your options are basically cheap mic + cheap audio interface, usb mic that handles A/D conversion for you, like the Blue Yeti or similar mics, or a recorder with a solid mic built in, like the Zoom Handy series, which has a certain advantage in portability and convenience if you want to capture a lesson on the fly without setting up a computer to record.

Could anyone help with some database shit?

How would you convert pic related to database creation statements assuming you must combine the generalizations into the superclass? All I'm getting are two tables that reference each other which doesn't work because one can't be created without the other:

CREATE TABLE Department(
num INTEGER NOT NULL,
name VARCHAR(50) NOT NULL,
manager INTEGER NOT NULL,
CONSTRAINT DEPARTMENT_PK PRIMARY KEY (num),
CONSTRAINT DEPARTMENT_CK UNIQUE (name),
CONSTRAINT DEPARTMENT_FK FOREIGN KEY (manager) REFERENCES Employee(num)
);

CREATE TABLE Employee(
num INTEGER NOT NULL,
typeOf VARCHAR(50) NOT NULL,
role VARCHAR(100),
department INTEGER NOT NULL,
CONSTRAINT EMPLOYEE_PK PRIMARY KEY (num),
CONSTRAINT EMPLOYEE_FK FOREIGN KEY (department) REFERENCES Department(num)
);

How should I fix this?

Take this hypothetical setup:

C:/ drive: M.2 SSD
D:/ drive: 2 sata SSDs in Raid 0

M.2s are faster than sata, but raid 0 theoretically "doubles" the speed of the disks in the setup. Which drive would be faster? Would putting apps on D:/ be better so they don't fight the OS on C:/ for disk usage?

I run a tiny company that does auto restoration, I need to upgrade the computer system of booking in jobs and invoicing them. The current system is slow, error prone and wasteful.

Now I have an issue, the other 3 people who will be using the new system are computer illiterate, they can use the current system (Excel Spreadsheet for booking in + Word for invoices) but it takes them fucking ages, and there are 100 little tasks they need to remember that are easy to forget.

Does anyone know a piece of software that could replace this system, it needs to be fucking BASIC and not be bogged down with 100 features.

I just want a system where you enter a job by putting in a name, it suggests an auto complete for any customers who are already in the system, and you enter the job details, there is then a print button that prints an invoice based off of that information, or emails it to the customer.

My 7700K and its iGPU can play most games at 60-100FPS, for some I can in Ultra and for others I prefer just lowering everything. My temps so far have spiked to 68°C maximum, but it's just spikes, generally it's more or less 55-60°C when gayming I would say and I'm pretty sure those spikes are rare or only happening when Windows 10 decide to do shit.

My two questions are,
1 • When I'll buy a GPU, will I get lower temps since the iGPU will be deactivated? I wonder about this, all I know so far is that HWMonitor has a temp for the iGPU apparently (35°C idle 45°C load/max).
2 • When playing a game I'm currently playing in low settings like Heroes of the Storm, when I'll play it in Ultra, will it increase my temps or not? I know this might be a stupid question but wouldn't the GPU handle most of this anyway?

For those wondering I'm using a Cryorig H7 with Arctic MX-2 thermal paste. The max temps I saw when I used OCCT and I think it was 75°C. I'm still on stock settings and have set 1.250 vcore, could most likely lower it again to get even better temps. Pretty happy so far considering everyone seems to complain about it overheating too much.

1. A bit.

Anything under mid 80s max load is fine.

No clue.

Just get a "solution" (wink wink) for it from a torrent site that has to do with pirates and bays.

I forgot that mIRC even had that because IRC is such shit that I can't imagine anyone paying for it. Meh. You're better off not using it, honestly. I tried IRC and it's just stupid in general. I don't like the style. Whether you like it or not, I know I don't, Discord is the future for this. At least for now. You CAN make it IRC style in the settings, which I do, and see more on screen. However, it's just a better (free as in price) software that gives a lot of NEET features such as uploading files, link previews, search with Google, etc. with a lot more to come.

It's quite NEET I have to admit. Seems as if all they ask in terms of money is $50 a year to get a .gif avatar and some gay emoji bullshit, which is fine by me. Everything else, even the servers, are free. Why people still use IRC I'll never know but it sure beats that... And certainly beats the old days of ICQ and AIM.

My dad uses a 52 inch TV to browse shit on.

Maybe you're too close to the monitor and you got used to 17". Other factors that could make your experience quite different are aspect ratio, PPI and resolution, of course. If you have a really high resolution everything will be smaller or have more wasted space.

I don't recommend for instance, getting a 21:9 monitor if you don't multitask too much because maximized websites on that look like ass (and let's be honest, that's non-standard).

It's ok to browse sites with any size you may be comfortable with, the problem is that a small resolution on a big screens means gigantic things on screen and pixels up on your face which isn't nice for your eyesight. That's why this Retina thing came about. Course, now the gap between average cheap monitor and average cheap phone is really silly.

I mean you can have access to an entire database, but are you gonna make sure that 30 billion people are individually, carefully getting fucked in the ass? Perhaps not. Some virus keeps fucking with me. Every time I restart windows 7(okay, you can laugh at me now) it copies itself back.
Tried Microsoft Security Essentials, Malwarebytes and Combofix so far. They all removed it once, but then it came back with restart.

It keeps making a folder inside AppData/Local called Ovics and puts some .dll and .exe in there. The .dll gets intercepted on every restart by MBAM, but for some reason the .exe is allowed to go through both antivirus. It's actually an installer that asks me to select a folder, of course I just exit it.

According to MSE it's Trojan:Win32/Azden.A and Fuery.B but google gives me nothing for those names.
MBAM tells me it's a Trojan.Clicker

How do I learn vectors and quaternions for 3d locations/rotations/velocities etc? I'm trying to find tutorials and things but they seem to go awfully in depth into the implementation. I'd just like to learn how to operate with them. When I watch these tutorials I feel like I have some gaps. I'm pretty weak with vectors but is there something else essential I need to learn to understand these? All 3d vectors seems to be represented with x,y,z but what is the difference with location, velocity, angular momentum when it comes to the vector.

Concrete example of what I want to learn: I have rotation(Q), position(V3) of object X and position of Y. Figure out the angle between X and the line(vector) between X and Y.

Any good beginner resources to learn this kind of stuff?

Remove it, clean the cable, put the cable in the slot again, problem solved.
You could also try cleaning it with isopropyl alcohol and let it dry for hours.

Your motherboard is fine, the problem is that something between UEFI and OS Boot is causing problems.

WindirStat is good.
Revo, no.

How big is your HDD that you are worried about 5-10GB of wasted space?

>>59811597
Get a I7-7600 or I7-7700k.

G4560 is "acceptable" but if you have the money build something good from start, how often someone builds a PC? 5-7 years?

>>59811606
Depends on the game, but in most games more cores wont affect performance at all.
Single core performance is more important than having more cores.
In some it just spreads the load among all threads/cores.

Outside Fallout 4 i cant think of anything that benefits from faster RAM, and that is because that game is horrible when it comes to optimization that somehow benefits from it.

Not even normal programs.
2133-2400MHz is enough.

3200MHz is just not worth it.

120GB SSD, where I keep my main Windows installation and everything that isn't a video game. I've considered trying to get another SSD but I don't know if RAID array is possible with SSDs? I haven't actually done the research on that. I freaked out when Adobe After Effects took 15GB for a cache and I shrunk it down to 5GB.

I'm also now down to 16GB free on my 1TB harddrive due to excessive game and movie hoarding but I'm not as worried about cleaning utilities on that because that HDD is exclusively for games so there aren't any hidden files.

Has anyone been experiencing scrolling issues on 4chan?

Using the site normally in Chrome and randomly scrolling stops working. It works on other sites even when it stops working on 4chan.

Whats up with this?
>>
>>59811701
120GB SSDs are a bad idea all around.
Slower, less durable, and for a Main OS drive horrible since you only have 80~GB for programs once you are done installing windows.

>>59811721
Its a recent chrome bug, duplicate the tab and close the one you cant scroll.
Happens everywhere, not just 4chan.

You need to go to your router page and search for QoS. If it doesnt have it you need to download a software but I have no knowledge of this.
>>59802933
what is tocompress?
>>59802957
Of course you are. ISPs have no right to block you from using altermative technology. At least not in my country.
>>59803234
The same happens with me. The problem is the router. Too weak for that much bandwidth, so it drops the connection. Solution: get a better router.
>>59804312
Run a script at startup
>>59804610
It depends. Some malware explout vulnerabilities that allow them to be installed on a system and remain hidden, without requiring the administrator to give permission to anything. This happens because of vulnerabilities in software. So the malware now can spread in the system and to other systems if anybody connects an usb drive to your port, for example. Other malware is spread on emails, as file attachment, hidden in pdf files. Another common exploit. You can also catch malware by going to weird websites with javascript enabled. But most of the time you catch malware by allowing its installation with other bundled software. Example: you want to install software X and the installer wants you to install 3 other software a b and c. Those can contain malicious code.
>>59805765
Connect to your router via the default address, something like 192.168.0.1 or 10.0.0.1. You can find this information on the cmd by typing ipconfig, its on default gateway. You should attempt this with an ethernet cable, connected directly to the router.

If there is a standard between each images it is possible to use them as a stack of layers. Each layer on a depth of 1 pixel, e.g : 2D pixel on x0y0 is translated as x0y0z0 : z0 is layer0, z1 for layer1 etc.. clean the background/threshold on dark pixel as transparent. something like voxel
