Why are Lenovo trackpads so bad?

I wonder this as well. Most owners are like "ppft, why would I need the trackpad anyways, trackpads suck" but the reality is that lenovo ones are quite terrible in comparison with other brands.

I don't think that touchpads on macs are a bad thing, they are great and fit the OS. But I don't use OS X on my thinkpad and for the OS I use a track point is better.

The trackpad on the X220 was fucking awful, one of the worst I have ever used. One of the reasons why I returned it.

They're actually really good (better than Apple,) the Windows drivers just suck for some reason. I've tried multiple T and W serires laptops on both Windows and Linux and the difference is obvious.

The touchpad on the T440 and T460 is shit, but the one on my P50 is nice. Don't know what they were thinking.
