Why is kde so good compared to all the other DEs?
KDE is very heavy on RAM.
MATE all the way.

>heavy on ram
It only takes like 300mb more than xfce would, that's literally nothing

Inconsistent design and bugs aplenty. No, thanks.

I really don't like KDE, I'm more of an XFECES (XFCE) kind of anon, really fast and nice

Nice fud. Disable some desktop effects and ram usage is not an argument. You can get it down to 400-500 ram usage after a reboot.
I will admit KDE has some strange/shitty defaults tho. Idk why they have so many useless effects already selected by default.

Oh, okay then... thanks for the counter-argument. Oh, wait...

What do you have, 1GB of ram you poor tard?
>>59780042
How is it heavy on RAM? KDE Neon by default barely uses 1.1GB with firefox open. Unity is even heavier than that.

Pros:
> The KDE applications including the file manager are quite good out of the box
> You can play around for hours
> Have the most shortcuts out of all the DE's
Cons:
> Windows look alike
> Not very beautiful DE by default
> A few bugs and crashes
> Not as supported as Gnome 3
> Is the slowest of the all DE's
> Can argue it have too many useless settings, options which in principle are not good for productivity.

Both vertical and horizontal tabs in the same window.
Dots and lines for no purpose.
UI elements have their own size everywhere.
Uneven padding everywhere.
The reason why I always say "KDE is for ugly people".
>>59780016
I can't get used to KDE, i use Budgie at the moment.
I also like Unity and LXDE.
>>59780300
I'm not saying it is a lot. People are saying it is too heavy and 300 mb more than xfce which are both not true.
