There are no laptops worth getting other than x30 and below ThinkPad T/X/W lines, and whatever MacBooks suit your needs. Anything else is fucking trash. Pair either, or both of these with a custom desktop and you're doing well.

I paid 500 burger bucks for a w541 thinkpad still under warranty. I7 4810q real quad 16gb ram two 256 sammy evo ssd plus dvdrw drive. Even has a 3k screen 15 inch on a quadro.
