Are there any totally silent mechanical keyboards that aren't too pricy?

I want to use a phone + keyboard for taking notes in uni now that my laptop is broken but I don't want people annoyed at me clack clacking away like the autist I am. Touching a filthy rubber dome is preferably a solution to avoid. Currently use cherry reds but those are too loud for a classroom environment.

O-rings won't get rid of the upstroke sound. You're best bet is to get a keyboard with MX Silents (they have internal dampeners to reduce noise) or get Zealencios (these will dampen downstroke and upstroke sound with cherry profile keycaps, upstroke only with any other profile keycaps)

so ive had a razer blackwidow expert for like 3-4 years, has been perfect for me, i liked the blue switches a lot, but tonight i guess a bit of juice spilled on it and somehow shorted or broke the keyboard from an incredibly small amount of liquid.

my question is, can i fix this by opening the keyboard and drying the insides off, presuming the liquid somehow got onto the actual board, and if not, what exact layout does the keyboard use and how can i search for those?

basically the way the function keys have barely any space between f4 and f5, f8 and f9. ive gotten extremely used to the way those function keys are placed in relation to the number keys for the mmos i place, so yeah. will be very appreciative if i can get an answer on either, i know le razer meme but i got it a long time ago and its worked for me.

Need some help.
Been using a cheap chink board I got off of amazon for about $35 as a replacement for the near $80 CMStorm board I had.
It is surprisingly functional and feels great in use. One problem, there's an ugly chink brand logo on it.
Is there any way to remove this logo without damaging the surface? The front is fully metal, so I'm not sure if that makes it easier or harder. In my opinion with my custom keycaps and no ugly logos or printings (i.e caps lock "logo" near the caps lock LED) it would look really great. Thanks in advance.

You must understand that in back in early 2016 this keyboard was shilled relentlessly by me and this italian guy. Little did people then know that the keyboard is not actually a functional keyboard. It does not send any information to the computer, all the usb connection does is power an internal microphone and some capacitative sensor that detect when a key is touched. Notice that I said touched, as you can't press the keys down, they are completely static. Upon a key being touched, an internal microphone plays a high quality flac file of a female voice saying "thock" with a strong french accent. Not making a "thock" sound, just literally saying "thock". Everyone who praises this keyboard is simply acting as if it were an actual keyboard out of buyers remorse. Thus it is the greatest meme of all, and grants the owners the maximal number of attainable meme points.

Hey /g/,
I'm looking for a new keyboard. Been using a Logitech g710+ for a couple of years now. Unfortunately, the wheel that regulates the sound volume stopped working a few months ago and now, since today, a couple of key lights have begun flickering from time to time.

Does anyone here have any suggestions for me? Been exclusively using Logitech peripherals since at least 15 years, and I'm actually pretty happy with it, but I'd like to know if other manufacturers have something decent.

What I need is a keyboard with cherry MX brown switches, a num pad, media keys and key backlights (no rgb shit). I'm German, but I am using the US-Intl layout, so having a US layout (maybe even with US-Intl key caps) would be a huge bonus.

Finally got home and cleaned this pupper up. The guy had two cats, so I had to clean a lot of cat hair. I put the keycaps in water and added denture cleaner, which seems to have goten rid of most of his oils and the keycaps feel brand new again. Side note these keycaps are amazing; after all this time they still have their rough texture to them. Despite being a TKL this keyboard is only slightly smaller then my full size Ducky. Sorry for the shitty camera

Finally got my TADA68.
The travel on the enter key feels weirdly/wrongly short, otherwise I'm in love.

Well that would certainly work well with a split spacebar.

I've been using a custom keyboard with the shift key on the bottom row, operated by your left thumb, for a long time now and highly recommend it. Takes some getting used to at first--or when using a normal keyboard--but it's clearly the more optimal solution and idk why it's not more common.

the only thing i plan to do in the future is move the center two columns lower than the outside ones, and swap the bottom keys that are currently 1.25u for 1u keys. otherwise, i like it a lot! the rightmost white keys are |/ and esc, btw, with esc on the bottom row. in the center, i have backspace and delete and enter on the 2u key. pretty decent layout, once you get the hang of it.

i designed it to be usable with normal profile keycaps for the most part, but am thinking of building a second revision with tenting, dsa keycaps, and dvorak layout
