Recently I found out about Secure Scuttlebutt, a peer-to-peer platform where each account is comprised of public/private crypto keys and an append-only log/diary.
This allows to create, for example, a completely decentralized and encrypted Twitter/e-mail replacement:

https://staltz.com/an-off-grid-social-network.html
It has a lot of advantages, and it makes surveillance and censorship impossible.
So... how about an imageboard based on SSB? The only thing needed would be a list of public keys, and since there are no accounts you could generate a new pair for each post. Deleting posts wouldn't be possible. It seems like an interesting experiment. What do you think?

Honestly, if you look at projects like Freenet... You know how this will end. The block will have so much child porn in it that anyone in a developed nation would run the risk of jail time.

I don't follow. This doesn't sound like it has anything to do with preventing users from being banned, just preventing their posts from being tracked.
