When did you last own a crt tv or monitor?
2005 for me
Really wish there will be proper oleds soon. 12 years later.
i've still got one, it is in ma basement, collecting dust

Around 2006 when it died I think
I cant afford a flat screen
I still have an big ass 29" CRT, I use it with my old consoles
>>59771922
I'm using one for my desktop right now. 180-degree viewing angles, infinite contrast, doesn't look like shit at non-native resolutions.
OLED will solve all those problems except for the last one.

I had a 19" sony CRT in 2005 that was great for doom 3
i remember thinking my lcd looked like shit when i switched over, even though it was higher res.
>>59771922
My third desktop screen is a CRT
Why throw/not use things that work?
>>59771922
I still had a crt tv in 2008 because LCDs back then had realy bad input lag (was a console fag back then)
I replaced my mitsubishi 55" 1080i crt rear projection just a couple of months ago. I only did it finally because Amazon updated the firetv and there was a bug where it could not support my tv anymore.

What's a good monitor for a broke man in college? I want to keep it under $150.

I have 3 crt tvs and a crt monitor, use them all the time
>>59772615
Same here, 29" is mid size though with CRTs if you can lift it by yourself. It's not that big
I still have my trusty 15" CRT to play Duck Hunt on

I've just moved to a new country with nothing but my luggage. When I have a more permanent apartment, I'm going to pick up a CRT monitor some guy is giving away, and I will build a new computer and use this monitor. I like CRT, but I will mainly use this to save money at first, but I will probably continue using it after I've gotten a flat monitor, to play Quake on and watch old 4:3 anime.
I remember a 21" tv catching fire in the 90s

Now.
I keep it next to my router wired in to play Resident Evil Outbreak online on my PS2 and my N64 flashcart.
I have a 486 and K6-3 computer that use a CRT monitor, and I have a Sony PVM 20" for my old game consoles.
I'm hoping that one day someone comes up with a holographic flat panel that can near-perfectly mimic CRT phosphors in the future (and accept 240i/240p).

Now. I use it for old consoles. >>59771922
>>59771922
I switched to an LCD from a CRT on September 3, 2009.
I can tell precisely by when my WoW screenshots stop being 1600x1200 and start being 1920x1200.

I still own quite a few. Everything from Vintage TV sets to PVMs and SXGA monitors. Quite comfy.
>Monitor
I think there's one in the garage collecting dust. Haven't used one in at least 2-3 years.
>TV
Trick question. I'm still hoarding them.
