Nvidia Debuts New High-End Titan Xp Graphics Card With Mac Support

Thunderbolt 3, external enclosure. It'll work, not to maximum capacity but it'll work at around 10-15% reduced ability.

This is actually a very big deal for anyone that uses os x86. Previously the only nvidia drivers available were for maxwell so the best card you could use was a 980ti. This means that we're essentially getting mac drivers for pascal so you can use them on os x86 builds. I'm psyched for that because I have a 760 and a 1060 in my PC because I sometimes use os x. It's good news no matter how you look at it, and full gp102 is sick too for LN2 oc

MUH DICK

So it'll "work" but its gimped 10-15%? Unless an amd card performs < 85% capacity for the same budget, just get an amd card considering it already works.
Granted, I would like to see some documentation that claims using lightningbolt would be gimped like that.

not nearly enough bandwidth
>>
>>59769857
why the fuck would anyone want to gimp their video card?

The last Mac that had accessible PCIE slots and room for this was when?

So then what the fuck is the point of shelling out money for a card you will get 85% of your money's worth for? If there's literally no escape from bottleneck, why would anyone buy it? Not to mention the price will be marked up because
>apple
>>
>>59770134
nothing really, it's probably just Nvidia's wishful thinking that Apple will use their GPUs in their 2018 Mac Pro. i think either razor or alienware's proprietary GPU enclosure uses 2x Thunderbolt connectors or something. Thunderbolt 3 only provides 40 Gbit/s, so it's moot for something this powerful.
>>
>>59769735
Would that mean Pascal on Hackintosh as well?
>>
>>59770393
yep
>>
>>59770359
Just checked and saw they're putting out geforce experience for macOS too. They're really pushing this shit.
