Every big DE has been made obsolete by Cinnamon. Lightweight DE market is over-saturated but there is no clear winner.

KDE 4.0 was a disaster, but they recovered eventually. Since then it's been smooth sailing.
Gnome 3 is the same scale of disaster but it shows no sign of improvement.

Works for me. Try accessing git repo for icons. My AUR just werks and it's easier to update all the 'hot stuff' (no homo).

It's being debloated. Most off the apps that belong to kde framework are being ported to qt for portability although it still depends on qt

I settled for i3/XFCE because they just work. Wish cinnamon was stable.

every time a KDE release was released, it was buggy as shit and unstable.

Then it would slowly mature and get better, and then when it FINALLY became stable and usable, it would get deprecated and replaced with a new version that's unstable and unusable.

KDE4 was their best so far. It finally became stable and usable, but was only around for a little while and then got replaced with Plasma, which last I checked is still unusable.

All the buntu drones gave kubuntu a try and concluded that kde is utter shit.

Shitty Vsync implementation that causes 70% of normal computers to hard freeze at random times. This has turned many ppl off really fast and the fact that the problem persists since kde4 is unaccepatble.
Its just one dumb option that should be disabled by default but its not.
