You have 10 seconds to state why you aren't using THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST text editor. Which by the way just released its awesome 1.11 version.
Why do you insist on clinging to dinosaurs like Vim, /g/? Embrace the comfy VSCode and don't put yourself through hardships just to make quick edits to a piece of code.

It still sucks!
I do, most people who have a vocal opinion on vscode usually have some vim config that does something similar to what vscode does right out of the box. My only gripe is that the license is stupid, aside from that its been kind to me.

whats the license?

The code is MIT licensed but the binary has a different license.

My complaint is that they dont let distro's distribute pre-built binaries so you either trust pajeet-soft not to backdoor the binary or you build from source.

the license actually says: "you cannot distribute the binary" you yourself built?
Thank god for AUR.

I think is legal code for you cant build and distribute it. Aseprite has a similar license.

I've learned from experience that anything made by Microsoft past 2010 is fucking shit.
So no thanks.
