I just built my first PC. It booted up and the BIOS sees all the components.
This is going too well for my liking.

When you install Gentoo.
When you don't account for sotational relocigensity on your hard drive and properly check that the screws on it are as tight as possible. If you don't do this very important data will be destroyed after a few boot ups.

It doesn't have any platters, it's solid state.
