My workplace keeps those around for when writing needs to be done. They're so fucking awful they're the reason I started buying my own pens, so I wouldn't have to deal with them anymore. I bought an 18 pack of Zebra Z-Grips and distributed them across the workplace to try giving my co-workers a similar reprieve, that's how much they suck. Sadly they all disappeared within 2 days.

What's them smoothest-feeling pen to write with? Not how it lays down ink, I'm talking only how it feels to drag it from one point on a piece of paper to another, the less scratchy the better. Professional writer. Almost everything you've shown is shit tier. V5, some uniball, that clear plastic cheap pen, and cheap click pens are the only valid choices. No reason to write with anything else. Unless you are an engineer or architect, in which case you should use a drafting pencil. Or if you're a black guy from the 1920's, or a beatnic wishing you were a black guy from the 1920's--then you can use the blackwing pencil.

I use the Uni Kuru Toga because it rotates the lead around, keeping the point a consistent shape. Just find it on amazon, the product pictures tell you everything. It works well, but the plastic bits make it feel cheap. Once this breaks, or I feel like spending $30 on pencil, I might try a rotring.

I always keep a Pilot G701 with a Space Pen refill mod on me. The refill feels quite crappy, but it hasn't let me down once and feels rock solid.

A Pilot G5 stays in my schoolbag for something other than signatures.

Yeah it is something I struggle with, being left handed means I can't really drag my hand across the page as easily because I'm pushing the pen so a lot of my words come out more or less slanted depending on where my hand it when I write it.

>>59763854
When I used to write with the PHX a lot and had a decent refill in it it looked a lot better, since my move to writing almost exclusively with fountain pens I find it's a lot harder to use, especially because of the weight of it. It doesn't show it in the picture but the majority of the pen is solid aluminium with a snug fit inside for the refill.

Nigga please, these fuckers write on anything, in any situation, after any number of years spent in a drawer or lying in the mud, whether wet, hot or cold, you can break the barrel but you'll never break the nib nor the tank, they never run out of ink because you either hand it or lose it before it does, they never dry, they never leak, the ink dries instantly, you can find them everywhere, from a dirty 7-Eleven in Surat Thani to the top of the Eiffel tower, and most importantly, they're affordable and disposable as fuck, which is the whole fucking point of modern pens. Anyone keeping the same pen for more than two months is a sissy, anyone that needs a "smooth" pen probably has more use of a 12 inch dildo than a pen. Or is a student. Time to grow up kid, and stop riding dildos.

It's part of ballpoint technology to prevent air from getting in, as well as avoid leaks. The ink near the ball dries in a couple hours, and after that it's airtight.

Unstucking the ball is as easy as writing, and if it's been drying for a while, try writing on something with high friction, like a rubber sole. You can't possibly claim on the internet that a bic pen dried and expect to be taken seriously.

This post actually had me open the drawer of my desk which had last been opened by my predecessor some 4 years ago, and I found a bic cristal without even a cap. Took 2 seconds of scribbling to get it started again.
>>
The F-301 is not good tier. The body might be good but the cartridge is awful.

>>
>>59766520
Your experiences are clearly different to mine, I've soaked 'em in water, scribbled on paper for ages and even spritzed them with isopropyl but nothing gets them to work again. I don't know what voodoo magic your pens have but it ain't working on the bics I've come across.

Back when I was doing lots of writing, I found the G2s to be inconsistent (a few from every batch would skip or pool) and the ink dries far too slowly. I'd end up with occasional smears if I closed a notebook or pad too soon but I imagine it's far worse for lefties.

It used to have a great reputation but I think that drove demand past what they could support in quality. Maybe that's changed recently.

I used to have trash handwriting. It takes a lot of effort and practice but you can change, especially if you're writing on a daily basis.

It's all about focused effort, every letter you do you should take a little extra time to write and aim to make it the best you've ever done. To start off with it might take you 2-3 times as long to write anything down but that'll improve over time as it falls into your muscle memory. Don't fall back into your old habits for long enough and eventually you'll forget how to write poorly.

A Zebra F-301 0.7mm ballpoint pen and some cheap 3.5"x5.5" notebook go with me when I go out.

I write with Pilot Precise V5s on some cheap composition notebooks that have acid-free paper.

I draw mostly with a Pentel P205 with 2B lead and the two pens mentioned above.

I have 3 Rotring 600s, several great fountain pens, traditional technical pens and pigment liners, etc. but lightweight plastic things I don't have to maintain are just more comfortable and practical.

You can get pic related (Bic mechanical pencils) by packs of like 10 for real cheap, they're refillable and generally OK.

Since I write in cursive I find that some pens and pencils (mech) don't work well or at all at an angle.
So I use fountain pens:
Lamy, Parker, Waterman
Ballpoints:
Bic, in bulk, for quick note taking, having everywhere around the house and work.
I find gels to scratch a lot or go through ink way too quickly, also they glide so it doesn't work well with my style.
Pencil:
I don't remember the last time I bought one, I usually find one in the street or lost and I take it (steal it?) since I rarely use pencils they last until I find another one.
I used to have a rotring, they are comfy, have a nice weight, but like every mech pencil I can't work with it, so I gave them away to family.

No pics because I have nothing interesting other than a limited edition Lamy Safari in a non standard color (bronze, which I think was last year or '15s edition).
>>
>>59774808

Since I work doing mathematics most days, it's extremely frustrating to have mistakes in my work that I would have to entirely rewrite to stop it looking messy and unreadable, so mechanical pencils became a lifesaver and now my go to writing tool.

I would like to buy a TWSBI eco fountain pen at some point, but my cursive is awful
>>
>>59774892
Hah, I do physics and I avoid pencils because of the uni style of "never erase, just cross it". It stuck with me, and I personally like it. If it's not in the computer (latex) then I will write the work with a clean sheet on which I write things I already confirmed, and alongside it I use recycled paper or used sheets for the math/theory while I'm figuring them out.
I make mistakes on the clean one of course, but I cross them and leave them, or if it's to be handed or they take most of the page I rewrite it.
Also, I find that the page looks smeared no matter the quality of the eraser, a line across seems tidier and it lets me keep the idea and revise that train of thought later on.
>>
>>59774808
I write a few pages of cursive each day and I find a Pilot Precise V5 has exactly the right amount of scratchiness to it. When I want to write in cursive in pencil I use a 0.9mm mechanical pencil with 2B lead. The tip doesn't get ground to a chisel point as fast as thinner pencils and rotating it every sentence is enough to keep a point.
>>
Pentel p205
>>
>>59774808
Yeah, mechanical pencils are kinda annoying. I keep them around mostly for tests, and for a cheap decent graphing pencil I don't mind my Pental Graphgear 600 too much. Now I just write on my tablet for scratch work that I don't want to keep. I use a 0.3mm felt pen (triplus fineliner) for pretty much everything else.

I'd like to try a Kurutoga Roulette at some point, but I haven't had enough reason to order one.

That thing is fucking great, why carry 4 pens, when you have one. Why only have one when you can have 4?
Sure it's not the best, it's a fucking cheap ass bic, but each colour can be replaced for pennies, unlike some overpriced bullshit in this thread, and for what ever colour you wanted, you could have 4 reds if you wanted, I usually replace a green with black, get double the use out of the standard colour, simple colour change mechanism, not prone to breaking, pretty robust design.

It's sounds and looks fucking stupid, but it's useful to no end.
