Hey /g/ents, i feel that my PC is getting too slow, especially when browsing with Mozilla; can't play any newest games and hesitating whether i should just upgrade my current PC or buy a completely new rig. What do you think?
Gigabyte GA-PH67A-UD3-B3
i5 2500K
4GB RAM
560 Ti
Dell 2209WA
ASUS Xonar DG sound card
Currently, i'm thinking of upgrading to an SSD and adding 4GB of RAM (to have 8GB. Is it enough, by the way?).
>250GB SSD
>8gb RAM
>RX 580 8gb (don't buy the 480 now, 5xx are coming out)
SSD, 16GB (of the fastest RAM your MB can handle) and a GTX 1070 and you will run everything just fine again.

It seems that there is not a big price difference now between GTX 1070 and 1080 (not 'gaming' edition) - is it still better to go for 1070?
Also, i have 4GB of RAM (2x2), so only two slots left - should i dump the old ones or do the trick with 2x2 and 8x4?
Depends on your screen resolution, 1080 would carry over better when you upgrade the rest at some point, but at that point an 1170 would kick it's ass, and dump the old RAM, 2x8GB or 4x4GB should both be fine but have a look at the manual for the MB, and get fast RAM.

u need an i7
Throw away you old RAM replace with a 2x8GB set for about $150.
Adding an SSD that matches your 6Gb/s cap, maybe another $130.
Your 560 Ti is long in the tooth now. A 1070 will due you fine but that's going to be $550.
(1070vs560 is about 3 to 4 times the performance)

Get new cpu and mobo, then RAM and last gpu

Few GTX 1080s are below $500 now
A 2500k will hold is back a little, but not by much 7-10%
Add fast ssd and ur good for a few years.

you autist it costs the same. and we dont even have the official price yet, we just have some leaks.
Lads, what graphic card should I get to play the latest games?
I have a GTX 570 now, pretty outdated.
