Hello. I am a Windows 10 fag. I've seen a lot posts about Linux here. What distro should I start with that won't kill my usability? I want it to be fully compatible with Windows apps, and to not run like a snail in honey on my HP laptop from Walmart.
Picture is unrelated.

For newbies the only answer is a ubuntu fork (xubuntu, mint, kubuntu if you have compatibile gpu etc.). There are other friendly diatros like Suse, Manjaro, Fedora and a shitton of others, but it is still easy to find support for buntu distros comparable to others.
You didn't tell us about which programs do you want to run. You should dualboot anyway.
Samsung 8 is a good new distro
