The update before this broke background playback of a video when the screen was off. Figured this update might fix it but I guess not. I can use the audio only to play with the screen off, but I can't select where I want the video to play from, only the beginning. The pop out play works for video playback with the screen off. Little annoying to deal with but it's what works now I guess.

Why not just use the xposed modules for the official YouTube app?

The new ExoPlayer looks great. Only thing that bothers me is that it keeps the screen on even when the video is finished. The old player didn't have this problem.

I wonder if I could even playback 720p video with this phone, because then I would get more bandwidth to which usually translates to better image quality. But I still do think that 1080p on a phone migh be just too much and it drains battery.
