Any jDownloader alternatives that aren't filled with malware?
I haven't found anything decent.

>jDownloader
I stopped using it when I ran wireshark and realized that jDownloader updates itself by downloading things over HTTP and everything's unsigned.
Nuts.
You can basically pown every jDownloader user by poisoning the DNS and sending an arbitrary pic of Java code.
Stay the fuck away from that shit. It's written by monkeys.

I'll never understand what the rationale is for that.
I mean, you can get FREE certificates today. It's not just that they are dirt cheap, they are literally free. Not going to prove to anyone who you are, but at least it will be enough to encrypt traffic without problems.
So what's keeping them? MUH OVERHEAD?!

they're just stupid.
I even submitted a security bug report on this and it was closed with no explanation. didn't bother with a CVE since I didn't wanna waste time making a POC. but it can't be fucking hard since checking they do is beyond silly.
Just stay away from that shit. It has no sandboxing and yet it literally runs unsigned code it downloads over the plain non-encrypted internet.
