Meh, the site died a while back when a significant amount of /pol/acks started flooding all somewhat popular board. On /tech/ for example, there were always threads derailing into /pol/shit because the fucktards wanted to talk about something but didn't actually understand what was being talked about in the thread, and there were so many LARP threads going on about non existent computer/internet related issues that pretty much killed discussion of most actual issues.

Still happy I was there to see the /pol/acks freaking out when the population of /leftypol/ suddenly increased by a few hundred, when the population increase was due to how many of them were trollng on /leftypol/.

even if that's by concept that doesn't stop it from being one of the key causes of death on these smaller imageboards. The ones that live and thrive (albeit slowly by the standards 4channers have) understand that and have their boards well allocated.
