What does /g/ think about AIO Cooling?
I've always used corsair but I recently bought a h110i and it cannot keep my 7700k @ stock speeds under 70 at load. So I need something better.
Anyone have any experience with switftech? They look badass but apparently there's some risk of the unit cracking and leaking.
The ekwb kits look cool but are also quite a bit more expensive and I can't find any documentation on how they stack up against closed loop systems.
Something ain't right

If you MUST go CLC, go for the EKWB. Why? because its all proper equipment which can be upgraded into an OLC once you realise how retarded a CLC is.
t. someone who had a NZXT Kraken X61 + Fury X and now has pic related

What cooler were you using before?
What loads/stress test are you putting it under?
70c is pretty normal for a 7700k desu famalam
>>59735507
I was using the corsair h100i v2.
Using the cpuz stress test it will get up to 84c. Just playing player unknown puts it at 70c. Idle temps are around 35c with ambient room temps at 18-20c

I might be wrong about this but isn't the swiftech stuff open loop? The EKWB is just so much more expensive, I'm not sure it's worth the cost. How much cooler would the cheapest kit be compared to something from swiftech or corsair be?
>>59735899
Its more expensive, but its much, much more reliable.
Also, EKWB has GUARANTEED compatibility to work with further EKWB parts.

So in theory I could get the cheaper model and then upgrade parts over time? I rather like that if it's the case.
>>59735915
Your setup looks great btw, which model is that? Or is it custom?
>>59735973
Yep! Just make sure you get a D5 pump rather than DDC, if you can help it.
>>59735999
Mine is custom built, but I can give you the details of every piece; pic related.
This doesn't cover the distilled water, dye or the fractal fan I already had (aux intake, top left.) but that covers all of the main bits.
I plan to upgrade my loop soon, next post will have a pic.
Yoy guys installed it wrong or something. My h100i v2 never let's my slightly overclocked 7700k get above 70 even during stress tests.
>>59736082
what is your idle at stock speeds?
>>59736063
holy hell that's expensive. Looks sweet though
>>59737129
It was expensive, but I was, and still am, very happy about it. Having two AIO's in the one system just wasn't right. Things are definitely better on the one loop - runs a lot cooler for the GPU too. 20c cooler, to be precise.
