I run arch on my daily laptop
Steam has a surprising amount of Linux compatible games. I have like 160 games in my library and about 40% of them are Linux compatible.

After installing native Nvidia drivers (which can be a hassle, especially with optimus) I'm alright with what I can take with me on the go. I still run Windows 10 on my desktop though so if i were to only run any flavor of linux I'd probably look into VM's with GPU passthrough
