Is PC a dead platform?
>>59719282
As long as shit like video editing and gaming is around. I don't fucking think so.
>>59719282
Um no bro
>market share
retarded metric as the market is expanding
there aren't less windows users, there just are so many more shitty devices that increase the count
>>59719282
>PC a dead platform?
for media consumption? yes
for everything else? no.
>>59719340
Agreed. A crappy $30 Android phone from Amazon is part of that count.

PC = Personal Computer
Smartphones are also PCs
What you're talking about is Desktops running Windows.
Desktops will eventually be relegated to gaming, businesses, govt. and education. Your average schlub just doesn't need a full sized Desktop just to browse Facebook.
I have 4 phones that run android. One serves as a back up Internet connection so it's always on, I have one that I carry, one that is a dap, and one I use as boot media. I'm sure I've used the browser on all of them. Meanwhile I only have 2 windows machines. These stats are probably rather skewed because most people have more than just one device with an os on it.

>One serves as a back up Internet connection so it's always on
enjoy your 24/7 line to google
Proper computers will always be around, because people will always need to do serious work like programming, video editing, music/sound work, scientific work, etc. Android/iOS toys won't cut it

Or a Samsung smart tv

Enjoy your crippling paranoia
don't forget to take your meds
>>59719468
I have Google hooked up directly to my asshole, so it's ok.

Your other devices idling around don't count.
Only when you use one of your phones or desktops to browse and make a page impression on a site monitored by statcounter you contribute to this statisic.

>OS Market Share
That's all the Phones & Tablets too you goof.
>>59719282
You can put Android on your PC.

hundrets of thousands tons of lithium could have been saved if android wouldn't be such shit operating system
