If google made a desktop OS it would be pure trash through and through. You'd probably need to root it like an android phone to even do anything and everything would have to be downloaded as an "app" through the play store.
Maybe even scratch rooting, you might just be stuck with downloading their trash spyware for everything.

You're absolutely right about that, they are already doing it. The only minor detail wrong is that they will do it without buying Microsoft.

Look at Chrome OS and Remix OS.. The amount of "apps" available for Android is enormous. Remix OS already let's you run Android with a full desktop and window manager on any PC, and Chrome OS will be able to run normal Android apps very soon (if not already? last time I checked it was soon)
