kwin is broken atm
If you're using a rolling distro, don't upgrade to
KDE 5.32.0 / Plasma 5.9.4

opengl rendering is broken (possibly caused by libglvnd)

window decorations and task switcher [alt+tab] is broken. Titlebars are usable although transparent and task switcher doesn't render properly.

Anyone having similar issues? what about manjaro/kde users?

Works for me OP. Try deleting your dot files and then restart your display manager. Also, you could try messing with the compositor settings. (Try the different rendering settings like xrender, OpenGL 2, OpenGL 3.1, etc..)

lmao

xrender works. not sure about removing dotfiles but shit doesn't work even on a different user
>>
>>59714972
You sure you are using xorg and not wayland?
>>
>>59714972
not wayland but I'll try removing dot files now. tried root account and it just werks

removing
~/.config/kwinrc
~/.config/kwinrulesrc
magically fixes the problem
>>

Cool. To be fair, it is kind of lame that they would make changes that could cause a problem like this with a minor version update. Generally wiping configs should only be needed between major versions.

Totally. I'm used to it because I've been using plasma 5 since alpha.

linux is a fucking joke

I have a windows partition on my gaming computer that I use for about 1 hour per week for virtual reality. Every time I boot into it I have to spend 15+ minutes installing updates and rebooting. Roughly 20% of the time this causes something to malfunction, forcing me to waste time troubleshooting. Additionally, I have seen blue screen restarts occur approximately once per month.
>>
>>59715794
i do this too and to be honest this is because you only use it when updates are available or were installed at last boot. Windows is shit but people who use it daily don't get to experience this. Worst part is how slow it is when you boot it so rarely.

Why it has image thumbnail?
Other DE doesn't have this bug.

Linux is no joke on servers and embedded, desktop is a joke sure but that has nothing to do with the Kernel and everything to do with GNU/FOSS autists being shit-for-brains that care more about hating MS than making something more usable.

I'm aware that Imgur.com will stop allowing adult images since 15th of May. I'm taking actions to backup as much data as possible.
