Why aren't you using Brave at least part time? It's like ungoogled Chromium with built in super adblock. It's in Beta now and it's available on everything. Totally open source.

https://www.brave.com/
>>
>>59712943
Why should I use brave when Opera and Chrome are so much better?
>>
Because I can't customise it
>>
>>59712954
It's not though. Brave is faster because it blocks all ads. Chrome is slower because it is just a platform for ads.

>>59712963

Just load Chrome extensions.
>>
>>59712980
No. I want to rice it.
>>
>>59712980
>opera doesn't have a built in adblock and vpn
>Chrome doesn't have extensions
Lol what?
>>
the built in ad blocker misses some ads
>>
>>59712989
It's totally open source. You can rice as hard as you want.

>>59713028

Which ones?
>>
Switched on Android as Chrome can't into extensions.
No ad collapsing though? That's silly.

They don't have a business model that can sustain the project. Eventually, like all ad-blocking companies, they will give in and allow "non-harmful" ads, which will cause the project to fail because people don't give a shit about that - an ad blocker is supposed to block all ads, not just some ads. The writing's on the wall, but the people working on it don't see it yet.
>>
>>59712943
Two things for me:
-The bookmark toolbar needs work.
-The sync options is not working at least with PC/Android phone, in the pc shows a QR Code but on the phone I can't find where to input the QR Code!

PROS:
-Ad block incorporated
- HTTPS anywhere incorporated
- Script execution protection
- No spying
- Fast and stable at least for me
>>
>>59713099
What makes you think a volunteer project requires a "sustaining" "business model"?
>>
because it contributes to the monopolization of google's vision of the internet
gecko or gtfo

i use it on my desktop. i actually find it completely better than chrome or any other browser right now.

theres a few things it still needs, like blocking ads on reddit and the embedded imgur albums on there dont work either. and on my laptop it seems to lag/have problems with the trackpad or something. so i went back to chrome on my laptop until they fix it.

i absolutely love it though.
>>
>>59712943
I'm not brave enough
>>
>>59713213
>because it contributes to the monopolization of google's vision of the internet
but it absolutely ruins google's monopolization of ads on the internet, which is way more important

It's Brendan, Brendan Eich.

Brave says that it just replaces ads by its own. I'd rather block them all.
>>
>>59714172
was this only recently?
>>
>>59714239
Nobody's this interested you stupid fuck, stop talking to yourself
>>
Why is there no mention of it being open source on the actual website? Surely that would be a marketable selling point
>>
>>59712943
I´m using this on android because firefox is a laggy piece of shit on it.
Still prefer uBlock origin since that gives me control over and lets me see what is actually being blocked.
>>
>>59712943
because i use gnome web
>>
I thought Brave was botnet?

I'll stick with FF Nightly
>>
>>59715073

But does granblue fantasy work on it?
>>

but firefox is slow, poorly developed, and promotes marxism. so youre not really securing a victory by using that either.
