My charge has been inconsistent now and it wasn't before

There's probably nothing you're doing which is changing energy capacity between consecutive charges. What is likely changing is your device's calibration. See if you can find a way to reset your device's charging history and then do a couple cycles of full charge to critical low, then back up to full again. Don't interrupt those cycles with intermittent charging sessions but use it normally otherwise. Give it a chance to relearn the discharge profile. Your readings should become more consistent.

Recalibrate

Calibration = horse shit, even the guy that created Android and Google engineers all say it is so anyone saying otherwise is full of shit too.

If your phone has a max USB current capability for charging of 1.8A (that's 1800 mA) then you need to get a more capable charger probably, a 2A one should be able to fully supply that current level without issues. Also, get a thicker gauge USB cable (24 gauge if possible) - stock USB cables from most companies are shit, go to Monoprice and get their awesome 24 gauge USB cables for like $1.35 for a 3 foot cable and you'll get the max current capable from the charger to the phone.

Also, stop using such apps like Ampere and stop using the fucking phone - the screen itself is the largest current draw so when you're trying to charge the battery and you have the device awake with the screen on and doing shit you're basically wasting energy that could be going into charging the damned battery.
