Why would you want to use your PS3 as a monitor?

No, I want to use my pc as a monitor. I want to have console in my room so I don't have to keep using the one in the living room.

You want to use your (i presume) laptop as a standalone monitor? not possible

You can use an elgato hd60s, not the other elgatos only that one has little lag. With PS4 there's a native windows and OS X network client.

if its a laptop, probably not going to work with a normal operating system like Windows

if its a desktop, then yeah computer monitors make excellent console monitors. better than tv's imho
