Go here and use the Wiki history to back 18 months or so. They really gimped the guide so it's not as useful as it used to be.
This is what I do
burn a linux mint liveCD (EUFI mode)
Load up, make sure internet works.
Then open browser to arch wiki and search for "Existing linux"
This lets gives you the install instruction on the same machine you're installing arch on, and you're not stuck in CLI
