What's /g/'s stance on pure-text discussion and info platforms like gopher, telnet/ssh BBS, usenet, etc.?
I like them. I especially like the simplicity of gopher, even if I'm some 20 years late to the party.

Many airlines are using 1970s terminals like American Airlines/Northwest greenscreen boxes. It's much faster when you get used to it then clicking around.
Anybody here use a terminal with 2 monitors? I'm considering piping pdfs and videos to one screen via framebuffer, and just living in emacs in the other. I guess I could also use i3 wm

Also really good for low powered machines. A Pi (disclaimer: other ARM single-boards available) is astoundingly cool when set up as an X-less unit. I actually use that off to the side as an IRC and BBS machine (as well as Usenet through slrn).
