I have a set of M50x hooked up to a mobo sound card.

I can hear a slight difference on most tracks. If I get a cheap dac I bet I could here a much noticeable difference. I would switch it up to flac if you have the resources to build up a flac library.

my hard drive does, but i like being able to mirror my collection onto my phone as well, which gives me about 38GB between the card and internal storage. Converting would be a hassle and all I have are midgrade earbuds anyways ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yeah, Foobar's logo is an Alien for a reason. It kind of makes things sound slightly spacey. As for MusicBee (obviously logo is a fucking bee), it has some sort of background buzzing.

You don't actually own your music. You also can't use your music for rhythm video games that leverage your existing music library. Also, you have to run their proprietary buggy AF client on your devices.
It's also a terrible way to filter a music library. See >>59688038
See how in that music player it is possible to filter the music library by a variety of criteria simultaneously? In that case, I opted to listen to all music in my library which I tagged with "Chill" or "Trippy" AND has a genre of "Electronic/World Fusion" or "Trip-Hop" AND has a rating of 4 or 5 stars. In Spotify you either have to build playlists by hand or have it generate a dynamic playlist for you based on it's own useless criteria. Dynamic playlist generation in Spotify is shit.

Streaming is downloading too retard. Also, I tried both Google Play Music and Spotify. I streamed my music for about 1 year. In the end I went back because of reasons stated here >>59688525

Winyl. It's not that good but it has the exact layout I want and looks pretty nice.

Wish they had a linux version though. And that it was open sauce.

iTunes with some shitty re-encoding script for uploading files to android, Audio Hijack for applying VST plugins and Plex for streaming.
Pretty messy setup but i haven't find anything better yet.

Don't shill deprecated shits.
People want synchronized lyrics automatically downloaded and not that retarded block of text. MusicBee (terrible closed source shit) and Dopamine (maybe looks too "modern") have this feature. There is a Russian/Chinese plugin for foobar2000.

Just seeing this reply now, but you're likely gone. But yeah, they did do that actually. I had an iPod Touch 3rd Gen that broke so I went to buy a 5th to replace it, but it's default iOS was that stupid new one so I just got a refund and bought a 4th Gen and just never upgraded the iOS. I don't want/need a phone, and I loathe the new iOS.

Guayadeque is built with wxWidgets which utilizes your GTK theme. So if yours looks like that, it's because you have an ugly GTK theme installed. Personally, I am using a slightly modified breeze-gtk (breeze-dark).

TB-Isone emulates conventional 2.0 speaker setup for the headphones by creating extra crosstalk and delay between channels. It's not ideal but still better than nothing.
FFProQ2 is just a precise audio equalizer.

It does a little but distortions is not noticeable at all. It's more about personal preferences, some people just do not like HTRF plugins.

Uugh, and an important question, do you have an almost exclusive second monitor for your music player? I have this one on my third monitor with fucked colors, but I love how it turns out to be washed out and almost orange. I was also thinking about getting a really smol display to replace it and use it for the music. Like, let's say, one of these raspberry LCD.

What do you all use for streaming music from a home media server to other devices? Don't say MPD because http streaming is garbage for music.

>>59696046
I don't use proprietary software except when I have no other option, and even then I wouldn't make an exception for a music streaming server.
