python is my favorite scripting language because it's so easy. c++ is for people who don't like libraries because they want to implement everything themselves as a learning process. so stupid. just read the well written, tested and audited c++ code that exists and learn to use that style because it's high quality. would you study under a blue belt or a 3rd degree black belt? same thing with your code. learn from the high level stuff while building your junk.

Seems like people don't want to learn languages nowadays.
Everything always needs to be simplified.
While simplifying is a great idea, you can take it too far though.
The goal shouldn't be that every child can just program something without effort.
Complaining that a language is too hard is not a good attitude if you want to learn it.

C and C++ are not just for people who want to implement it for learning purposes. Aside from the low level efficiency advantages the pros of implementing things yourself is that you can tailor the implementation to your needs.

Rust isn't any less difficult/complicated than C++ aside apart from having less legacy cruft.

Legacy is the most confusing and misleading thing in C++.
Still, Rust has no undefined behaviors, more useful STD(all the Iterator methods for example), build in networking support, hygienic macros, easier metaprograming etc. which makes it even simpler.
