There isn't any, atleast in those high end ones. I understand laptops with mid-range nvidia gpus that are still pretty small. But you cant carry such a huge laptop in your bag

Vast majority of people who want "gaming laptops" are college students who don't want to lug a tower, monitor, keyboard, etc. all the time.

Thing is, now you can get a laptop with a GTX 1080 that's marginally slower than the desktop version. Combine with an i7-6700HQ and you have a laptop that can beat the shit out of my desktop in any DX12 benchmark. Problem is you're paying over $2500 for it.

I want a powerful laptop that doesn't look like a gaymur shit to replace my PC. Is there any one available?

I'm not a gamer, but for an engineer who want a powerful portable workstation, it served me well in the last 2.5 years, so yeah, it is useful, but not for everyone.

Just bought one of these because I'll be working overseas and can't lug my desktop around with me. Why the fuck wouldn't you? It was like $1100 and has a GTX 1060, 500 GB SSD, 1 TB HDD. The thing even has G-sync. No I can't upgrade it but for a thousand bucks just throw it away in 3-5 years and get a new one.

I had one for a couple years, worked great as a desktop replacement. Replaced it after 4 years with a real desktop and was blown away by the power of a desktop gpu vs a mobile gpu

1, There are a few legitimate reasons to buy one if you do a lot of PC gaming. First and foremost, if you travel a lot for work or whatever. Second would be a dorm situation, although this one is admittedly debatable.

2. 90% people who own "gaming laptops" don't need one.

3. There have been a lot of advancements in cooling technology and build quality that makes them less of a retarded option than they used to be. Especially now that they are using desktop GPUs.

4. The stupidest aspect of modern gaming laptops are 4K displays. You don't need one. Period. It's retarded. Even 2560x1440 is pushing it.

5. I really want a 1080p Alienware 13 with a 1060.
